The Tuscarawas Philharmonic will present its sixth concert of its "Intermezzo" season with a virtual performance on Saturday, April 10th at 7:30 p.m. Viewers are invited to join the orchestra for the premiere performance of maestro Eric Benjamin's composition "Sinfonia for Double String Orchestra".

Originally conceived as a combined piece for two student string orchestras – beginning and advanced – for the Tuscarawas Philharmonic String Camp in 2020, this introspective six- movement work has been adapted for a reduced, socially distanced dual orchestra and reflects the struggles, despondency, adaptation, acceptance, and joy of hope arisen from the grip of a year-long pandemic.

As with previous concerts from the orchestra's virtual "Intermezzo" season, Tuscarawas Philharmonic will partner with Tuscarawas County music teachers to provide this season's performances as an online venue for classroom learning.
